The space
In the picturesque, traditional village of Aspro, in the Apokoronas region, this unique Cretan mansion, the most historical one in the area, awaits you to experience the genuine Cretan way of living, accompanied by all facilities that a holiday villa can offer.
On the way to our villa, strolling the stone-paved path of Aspro village, which hosts the old stone mansions with the blossomed yards, we feel at once the atmosphere of the past era of romance! As we reach the villa, we enter the spacious exterior, with a dining table, a BBQ area, and a stone fenced pool area, with sunbeds, parasols, and a built-in, traditional style sitting area!
Entering the main entrance, we are in an open-plan space with genuine Cretan style: wooden ceiling, thick stone walls, arches, and artifacts of Cretan art create a unique, hospitable atmosphere!
Here we find old-style sitting furniture, a traditional fireplace, and a dining table, in the same style! The LCD TV, with DVD player and stereo system, as well as the air-conditioning system are contemporary facilities that will make your stay even more comfortable!
Further, in the open-plan space, there is a fully equipped, spacious kitchen, with a second dining table, refrigerator, dishwasher, and all the appliances you are going to need to cook the favorite specialties of the family!
A wooden staircase leads us to a cozy attic that hosts the Master bedroom. The bedroom features a king-size bed, closet, bedside tables, a vintage mirror commode, LCD TV, and air conditioning system! The windows offer a wonderful, unobstructed mountain view!
A second staircase, leads to the second bedroom, designed also as an attic, with a double bed, closet, a mirror commode, and big windows, allowing fresh air and light in the bedroom!
The other three bedrooms, one placed in a smaller attic and the other two in-wall recesses at the open-plan space, feature a single bed each. The main bathroom, fully equipped with a shower cabinet, is located also in the same space!
Getting to the outdoor space, we find ourselves in a spacious yard, surrounding the house, with a dining area, inox BBQ, and an outdoor WC, for even more comfort! A wood oven is also placed in the yard (woods are provided) and is also offered for family gatherings from early afternoon till late evening!
The pool area is equipped with sunbeds for all guests, an outdoor shower, and a built-in sitting area, decorated with flowerpots and other vintage-style decorative items, which make the space beautiful and romantic!
The unique design of the spaces, following the architecture of past years, the vintage furnishing, the special decoration, and the genuine, traditional character make this accommodation ideal for those who want to experience an alternative stay!

✔ Welcome service. We will wait for you at the villa for the check-in whenever you arrive.
✔ A welcome pack. Upon arrival, some basic goods await you in the villa.
✔ All expenses and taxes for the duration of your stay at the villa are already included in the overall price. The only additional fee you need to be aware of is the environmental fee, which amounts to 10.00 euros per day during the period from April to October and 4.00 euros per day from November to February. Please note that the environmental fee is payable in cash upon your arrival.
✔ Free WiFi, electricity, hot water, air-conditioning cooling, or heating.
✔ Cleaning service is offered every three days.
✔ Linen change. Bedsheets and bath towels are changed on cleaning day with new and fresh.

Neighborhood description
Crete … the proud island of Greece. The desire of all Mediterranean civilizations for over 40 centuries. Pirates, Arabs, Venetians, Roman, Turkish, and many more, just wanted to conquer the place called “ Birthplace of Zeus”. Mountains, lakes, tropical beaches, forests, gorges are all parts of the picturesque scenery in Crete.
The capital city of Chania is located in west Crete. The city boasts of its old port which is one of the most sought-after spots on the island. The whole port has been built by the Venetians and its major landmarks are the lighthouse at the entrance of the port and Firkas fortress. Many museums, churches, Byzantine monasteries, Minoan ruins are some of the attractions and places of interest near the city.
The village of Aspro, where our villa is located, is a small village on a hill in Apokoronas, just above the tourist resort of Almirida. It is set back from the main road and very quiet (no passing traffic). It overlooks the Bay of Souda towards Almirida. There are not many people living there and it is like time passing has stopped. Some of the old houses have been renovated, while others are still in ruin. You can stroll the stone-paved alleys and admire the Cretan architecture of the old houses, as well as the bougainville trees and the views over the Bay of Souda to the village of Almirida.
In 2 km. you are in Almyrida village, where you can find all the amenities, such as supermarkets, mini markets, banks, pharmacies, cafes, taverns, and a beautiful beach!

Car is necessary for a stay at the villa!
Only 50 min. from Chania city and the Famous Venetian Old town and Port, offering a wide choice of activities for all ages. Bars, cafes, restaurants shops, museums, many archaeological sites. Enjoying the promenade in the old Town of Chania will be unforgettable and the reason that makes all visitors wish to return one day to see it again.
Near to the famous cities of Chania, Rethymno and Georgioupolis for great night and day entertainment but the most important with easy access to the motorway for the most famous sandy beaches of Balos lagoon, Falasarna, Elafonisi and many more.
Sandy’s famous tropical beaches, much stony scenery smaller ones, little villages, great entertainment places all around the region, and most of all friendly people with a great hospitality spirit of Greece makes our place a small paradise you will never forget. The famous sandy beaches of Balos Lagoon, Gramvousa Island, Falassarna, and Elafonisi, on the West Crete, are places you Must visit on your holidays. Amazing crystal waters in a daily excursion away from all will surprise you and make you like to stay and enjoy the best sunset in the Mediterranean with the sun going into the sea, giving us a spectacular and colorful sunset we could never forget!
The capital Chania City is connected with all major cities of Crete by the national road, the nearest harbor is Souda(5 km) and the nearest airport is Chania Daskalogiannis Airport with code name CHQ (10 km). Heraklion International airport with code name HER is also convenient (140km).
